Our speaker will be Coach Kevin and he will speak on observing and photographing the Solar Eclipse on April 8th. There will be several camera setups to see and each attendee will receive free eclipse glasses.
The Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas (TAS) is sponsoring community Star Parties on the first Saturday of each month. The Star Party events will take place on LovejoyISD Sloan Creek Intermediate School campus, 440 Country Club Road, Fairview, Texas 75069. Professor Shyamal Mitra at the University of Texas at Austin will give a talk on the astronomy track of UT High School Summer Research Academy (HSRA) that he directs.
