Andrew Yu
President
Andrew Yu is the founder of Teen TAS and returning president for the 2024-2025 term. A Senior at Plano West Senior High School, Andrew is an enthusiast in astrophysics, astronomical photography, math and computer science. Andrew is a top-50 finisher of the US Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad and a seven-time qualifier for the AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Exam). He also enjoys sharing his knowledge in astronomy and math by regularly teaching younger students. In this term, Andrew wants to focus his effort on exploring more outreach programs especially for underserved communities and continue to grow memberships.
Ramesh Pattar
VP of Programs
Ramesh Pattar is a junior at Prosper High School. His current role at TTAS is the Vice President of Programs, where he handles communication with potential speakers for our monthly meetings and help in organizing events. He is a passionate space-lover who joined JTAS/TTAS to gain knowledge for himself but also for an opportunity to help others who are just as passionate as him.
Amelia Menezes
Secretary
Hi! I’m Amelia Menezes, the secretary here at TTAS. I’m currently a junior at Coppell High School. When I’m not gazing at the stars, you can find me playing piano, on the softball field, or in the kitchen experimenting with a new recipe. I’m passionate about astronomy and I can’t wait to learn more about it with you!
